We had a great 2 fantastic classes today. The cooler weather was a welcome change. We had 2 new students come out for a trial. They did a great job in their first class We all hope that they enjoyed our school.
Today we worked on passing the guard. We did knee on belly drills to warm up and put a chain together to finish with a collar choke. It's great to see my team become more technical and able to work well without constant supervision.
I'm very excited about our graduation this Saturday. I look forward to seeing you all on the mats.

The competition is getting near
We had our last competition training Saturday. Everyone worked really hard and were looking very confident. Our competition students got the new school rash guard for the event.
In our regular classes we've been working on sweeps and passing the guard. Everyone's technique is getting better with every class.
We will not have class on Saturday April 6th. We are off to the competition. Everyone is welcome to come out and support the team. the matches should be starting between 9 and 10am

Saturday session
Today was a super awesome class. Great teamwork and focus which made learning the techniques today easy and fun.
We refreshed everyone on the hip bump sweep and moved straight into learning the scissor sweep. Well don to everyone for working hard at learn the scissor sweep. We've started to put another chain of techniques together that lead to a submission.
In our competition class we worked on the arm bar from the mounted position. today was a good introduction to the technique. I'm confident that we will have everyone attacking with beautiful arm bar technique very soon.
Thanks to those who stayed after to help clean up.

Saturday training report
Today was more work in the guard position. We worked on maintaining posture when your opponent tries to break you down. Next we worked on the knee shield. Everyone can now see the madness of our warm up directly relates to how we fight. A great job was done by all.
Big thanks to the students that stayed after class to help clean up. Well done!
